Bowenia Cottage is named after the Bowenia Serrulata, more commonly known as the Byfield Fern which is in fact a very rare ancient cycad with the appearance of a fern, endemic to Byfield and prolific in the vicinity of the magical Waterpark Creek which runs along our rear boundary at Ferns Hideaway.
